About the Patterns
All our patterns are digital PDF files and can be printed out with your regular home printer. After your purchase, the digital patterns are automatically sent to the email address you have provided, where you can download them by clicking on the download link. You can also find the download link on the order confirmation page once it has been paid for.
If your pattern is not in your inbox, you may find it in your spam folder. Please also take care to always ensure that you enter the correct email address with your order.
This means you get the PDF pattern almost immediately!
If you have a Stitchmaiden Account, all digital products you purchase are automatically saved on your account and can be downloaded at any time.

All Stitchmaiden patterns come in two file versions, one that includes seam allowances, which are 1 cm (3/8”) unless otherwise stated on the pattern or in the instructions and one version without seam allowances, so you can add your own.
When using the file with seam allowances, you don't have to add seam allowances themselves - more comfort for you!
Instructions file
Heart of our Sewing Pattern is the instruction file with a step by step written and illustrated sewing tutorial.
The instruction file also contains a how to use the pattern page, a size guide with measurement instructions, a printing guide, a pattern overview page, required amounts of fabric and other materials, basic workmanship information on how to prepare your materials, mark your pieces and sew, as well as cutting plans for different sizes and fabric widths.
If desired, the instructions can be printed on any home printer in all standard paper sizes. However, to save paper, we recommend not printing the instructions.
Pattern files
Both pattern files are layered, meaning that you can print the pattern in your desired size by hiding the other sizes. Instructions on how to use layered pattern files can be found in the sewing instruction file.
All Stitchmaiden patterns are layered! Always print your size only for a clutterfree sewing experience.
The pattern pieces have been organized separately on the sheet so that they can be cut directly from it - no tracing onto tracing paper needed.
A4 - The home-printable pattern file can be printed on any home printer and is suitable for all standard paper sizes, A4 and US Letter. After they have been printed, the sheets are put together with tape to form a complete pattern.
The copy-shop file is intended to be printed at a print/copy shop in A0 size.
The 'copy-shop' file is designed to be printed on A0 sheets and can be sent to virtually any print shop for printing. The printed pattern is then taped together in the same way as a home-printed pattern.
